Florida faces the facts:
200% increase in teen drug use over the last five years after a 13 year decline *
75% of students who use drugs say they began by age 14 ***
43% of middle and high school students use alcohol, 20% also use marijuana and 6% use cocaine ***
247,000 Florida children are currently affected by substance abuse and need treatment ***
In 1997-98 approximately 42,000 of these children receives services **
Drug prevention treatment is available to just 20% of those who need it **

Proceeds from the Keep Kids Drug Free license plate will provide funding for:
